A Student new to Bikram Yoga sees Amazing results - read below for one students story:

I have been practicing Bikram at the Port Orange studio for only a couple of months. I am amazed at the benefits I am already receiving. I am a 54 year old woman with scoliosis and a history of fibromyalgia. I dealt with the fibromyalgia for years by staying fit and taking care of myself. I had always been extremely active and had engaged in near daily exercise since I was about 19 years old. I loved to do high impact aerobics, lift heavy weights and jog. I thrived on exercise. One thing I never did was stretch. I was always very inflexible and stretching hurt. I hated to do it so I didn't.
About 8 years ago I started having a problem with my left foot. After a year, I had surgery, but it only made the problem worse. I was unable to jog. After a while, even walking became painful. Within a year, the pain had move up my left leg and into my hip (sciatica). I could see that my left leg was turning inward. My balance was very bad. From that point on, the pain was severe and constant. My fibromyalgia symptoms became much worse.
